Dear chess friends,

we would like to welcome you to the official website of the international chess festival OPEN Bohumín. This year will be the 3rd year that the chess tournament will take place in Bohumín, which is a continuation of the OPEN Orlová festival held earlier, that has built a stable position in the busy tournament calendar of the Czech Republic. We are delighted that an increasing number of players are participating in the main tournament each year, for whom we try to prepare the best chess conditions for the duration of the entire tournament in cooperation with our partners. As in previous years, the 11th year of the "Memorial of Ivan Jankovec" will take place, which will be included in the FRL for blitz chess and is also the regional championship in blitz.

Once again, an online broadcast of the open will be prepared not only for the players and spectators in the playing hall, but also, of course, for visitors to the website of the SK Slavia Orlová club. Let me take this opportunity to thank our partners, without whom this event would not be possible.
